Scuba Certification is Your Ticket to Adventure!

A certification in SCUBA diving provides you with a lifetime of excitement exploring the underwater world! Through certification you get the fundamentals for diving by learning: how to use the equipment, how depth/water pressure affects your body (even in five feet of water!), how to move effortlessly underwater, and how to solve problems that might occur while diving. After earning your C-card, which never expires, you'll have a foundation of skills allowing you to enjoy the sport. Through experience and additional training, diving will continue to get even easier, safer, and more fun. (Though not required, it is highly recommended that divers practice their skills and take refresher dives at least once a year. Your diving experiences will also be enhanced by improving your skills and learning new ones through additional training dives.)

Certification Process

The course can be divided into two basic parts: the academic and skill learning portion and the practical application portion. The course can be taken as a complete package or completed in two steps. We highly recommend the two step process as it saves you valuable vacation time and energy. In this system you would complete your academic and skill learning at home at your own pace, and then come to the beautiful, warm waters of Maui for your final four dives (also known as Referral, Open Water or Check-out dives). Taking the full certification course as a complete package on Maui requires a bigger time and energy commitment as so much learning occurs in such a short time. You decide which process works best for you!
